Is eCME Academy Free to use ?
Yes, many online course are available for free, but you still need to create an account to benefit from the selected FREE programs.
The aim is to empower health care providers with a comprehensive up to date continuous medical education.
What is the benefit of the Membership Account ?
Joining a membership account gives you access to courses otherwise restricted to non subscribers, and also give you generous discount on PAID courses.
Check your eligibility for joining a membership account, if you have an active registration in any of the affiliated societies, valid for the current year. Also, pharmaceutical & medical services companies can provide you with access to join the beneficial membership account / or Reduction codes and coupons.
Check Membership Account tab from the website menu, to explore the currently available options.
Note: Membership Account is valid for 1 year.
How to Enroll to a course ?
When you click on “Enroll Now”, you will be directed to login (if not logged in), or sign up (if you still don’t have an account on eCME Academy). The following options are available:
1- The course is FREE, you will be directed to the course lessons immediately.
2- The course is PAID, you will need to use your credit / debt card to pay the required fees.
3- The course is FREE / Discounted using your Membership Account or a Reduction Code / Coupon.
How to Complete a course ?
Once you have finished reviewing each lesson, remember to click on the small check box next to each lesson title, to mark the lesson completed. When all the lessons are marked completed, you can issue your Certificate of Completion.
You will receive an email notification, when you complete your course. Some courses can have a final quiz with a pass score of 80%, in order to issue the course completion certificate.
Are all the courses in a recorded presentation format ?
Most courses come with recorded presentation and pdf documentation. Yet, scheduled ZOOM Meeting Live sessions are also part of many of the available courses.
The interaction in real time with your expert instructors can have a substantial impact on your understanding.
What is the "Tutor Booking" Option ?
Tutor Booking gives you the opportunity to book a one on one online meeting with your expert instructor, according to your schedule and to their availability, providing a unique personalized experience, to discuss your queries and bridge gaps.
This option depends on the availability of the experts.
What if I need to ask a question to the expert instructor ?
Use the Questions & Answers (Q&A) tab, at the bottom of each lesson, to send your questions to the expert instructors. Your question will be answered by the lesson instructor as soon as they receive it.
Check the history of questions & answers, sent by others attending the lesson, as you might find the answer for your same questions. Q&A represents a great opportunity to share experience and deepen understanding of basic concepts as well as in the different and complex scenarios. Don’t hesitate to send your own.
Questions will be answered by the instructors according to their schedule.
What is a bundle courses ?
Bundle courses are a group of structured courses, linked to each other, in order to complete a comprehensive curriculum.
By joining a bundle courses, you get a scheduled education experience in order to achieve your goals.
Linked course could benefit from “DRIP Listing” and “Pre-requisite Courses / Categories” options.
What is "Drip Listing" & "Pre-requisite Course or Category ?
Drip listing, is when a course contents are scheduled to be available on a set date, helping you to keep a suitable pace of your learning process. The educational materials are made available according to the set schedule over weeks or months.
Some course come with a restriction of “Pre-requisites” where you have to complete a previous course or lesson or a category of courses before allowing for your enrollment.
These options are made available to help you maintain a suitable pace and order of learning, getting the best out of the structured education provided by eCME Academy.
What is "An Assignment" ?
Some courses could be requiring the preparation of an assignment requested by the course expert instructor. A case presentation or an electronic log book or a brief literature reading.
While, an assignment represent an extra effort in a busy schedule, it represent a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding, share experience and transfer of expertise. Assignment are kept anonymous and are reviewed one on one by the course instructors.
